Nature's First Aid Starter Kit class Jan. 12
Gail Richmond sent out an email about a Jan. 12th class in Cle Elum making emergency preparedness kits out of natural products. Sounded interesting, so I talked to the instructor, Kylene Lessig, and she sent me a link http://ellensburgadventist.org/article.php?id=33 that gives more information about making this free "starter" kit. The class requires preregistration, so if you are interested, fill out their on-line form and send it in ASAP because it sounds like it is filling fast. The location is handy for everyone in Upper Kittitas County - The Seventh Day Adventist Church just below Safeway off first street at 7:00 p.m.

Stockpiling food as a hedge against inflation?
Who doesn't need to supplement their income in an inflation- riddled, down economy? If you've noticed that it takes more money to buy less, you're not alone. A 2008 article in the Wall Street Journal entitled "Load up the Pantry" http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB120881517227532621-lMyQjAxMDI4MDI4MjgyMTI1Wj.htm discussed the realities of inflation and advised stockpiling food as the best hedge against the shrinking dollar (not to mention a good way to practice that Provident Living concept!).

Is there a way to get more info on this subject if you did not attend the class.
